Red Handed

This morning...well, this morning was a doozy. I'm leaving my house to have lunch with Kristy and her kiddos, looked back at the coop and caught a glance of this...

That's right. I caught you red handed!

Both of my eggs were missing yesterday. Dr. Presnall assured me that the culprit was most likely a snake and that it would be a large snake. He told me to keep my eyes out for it and he would come get it with his snake grabbers. Of course I was flipping out. I ran to get a shovel to kill it but stopped because the coop is taller than me, and the laying box hits me about chest/neck level. If I'm going after a snake I want to be the one with the height advantage!! Luckly, Dr. Presnall was home and came to our rescue! See?
I don't know if you can see it or not, but right about the first coil is an egg shaped bulge. He spit it out later. Ppssshh! Like that was going to help his case! I'll eat food my kid spits out, but not a snake.

oh, wow, we don't have snakes like that here either. I have never even seen a real snake not contained in a zoo. I think I might die if I did.

Whoa!! That would totally freak me out. So glad that he was there to take care of your egg stealer. Ick, ick, ick...I hate snakes.
